Schools across the country are overwhelmed with K-12 students struggling with mental health problems, according to school staff, pediatricians, and mental health care workers. Not only has this surge made the return to classrooms more challenging to educators, it's also taxing an already strained health-care system.

GARNA can’t fix the mental health crisis for kids, but we can support kids with connecting more deeply to their surroundings and communities. Many researchers agree that kids who play outside are happier, better at paying attention and less anxious than kids who spend more time indoors. Spending time in nature can increase confidence, awareness, and physical health.
