Join us for naturalist educational programming!

When we all do our part, we keep forest healthy, protect our parks, keep wildlife strong and ensure everyone is welcomed to enjoy these remarkable places together. We're very happy to provide a stewardship naturalist series in partnership with the Salida Regional Library.

This program is geared for aged 15+

3-Part Series to train the public on how to be effective naturalists and stewards of our public lands! Come join us to learn! Each program is stand alone, so attend one, or attend all!

The program meets at 5:30pm at the Library in the Tolkien Room.

May 23 - Navigation
Explore the fundamentals of navigation! In our beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll discover the art of navigating using a compass (plenty available) alongside GPS units (we’ll have 6 available for use) to chart your course through the world. Cap off your experience by putting your newfound skills to the ultimate test in a scavenger hunt, where coveted GARNA swag awaits those who can find the buried treasures! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, explore, and fortify connections with nature. All ages and skill levels are welcomed – come navigate with us!
