GARNA, Western Colorado University, and Elements Mountain Compost are teaming up to bring you the hottest event of the year!
Join us for a demonstration of the Ring of Fire biochar kiln by Wilson Biochar. What is biochar, you ask? Biochar is charcoal produced from biomass sources (i.e., wood chips, plant residues, manure or other agricultural waste products) for the purpose of transforming the biomass carbon into a more stable form [USDA]. Come see how biochar is produced, learn about the benefits, take a tour of the Elements facility, and stick around for food and hot drinks!
